Rolltops is the future computer

The Rolltop 2.0 is envisioned as having a flexible OLED (organic light-emitting diode) multitouch display (perhaps similar to Sony's) that can be used as a 13-inch laptop screen or full 17-inch monitor with a stand attached to the device.
rolltop
When it's not being used, the screen rolls up into an 11-inch tube. It curls around a base tower that houses a Webcam, loudspeaker, and detachable power supply and cable that doubles as a shoulder strap. Check it out in the video below.

The designers say they weren't thinking of making Rolltop into a product at first, but were so delighted by the warm response their concept received, they decided to move ahead with it.

First Aid total Guidebook - Free to Download

First aid is the assistance given to any person suffering a sudden illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, and/or promote recovery.

first aid

It enables you to assist persons who become injured in the event of an accident or emergency situation until help arrives. ... In its most basic form, First Aid is the initial assistance given to a victim of injury or illness.

If an accident happens in the workplace, you cannot be a helpless witness, since simply standing by can potentially worsen the situation. This is why it’s important to have at least a basic knowledge of first aid.

At its most basic, first aid is the initial assistance given to a victim of injury or illness. Comprised of relatively simple techniques that can be performed with rudimentary equipment, first aid is usually carried out by a layperson until professional medical assistance arrives.

Whatsapp Video Calling feature for Android Users - Download it

whatapp
WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Android and Nokia.

The sad thing is that the app is only available for iPhone - there isn't one for the iPad or the iPod touch. But don't despair. In this tutorial we show you how to access WhatsApp Messenger on the iPad (or iPod touch) using WhatsApp Web on your iPad.

WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps on the planet, so even small changes warrant some attention. This isn't a small change, though. This is a big one. WhatsApp is rolling out support for video calls in the Android app, but not everyone has the feature yet.

Video calls are becoming available seemingly at random. You won't need an app update as long as you're on one of the recent beta versions (people are reporting success on a few builds). If the person on the other end doesn't have video calling enabled yet they'll just get a voice call. You'll still be able to see the video calling UI, though. The call log shows that as a video call, but tapping the video button just pulls up an error message (below).

Difference between HTTP and HTTPS

What is the difference between http and https ?
Time to know this with 32 lakh debit cards compromised in India.

https

Many of you may be aware of this difference, but it is
worth sharing for any that are not.....

The main difference between http:// and https:// is all
about keeping you secure

HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol
The S (big surprise) stands for "Secure".. If you visit a
Website or web page, and look at the address in the web browser, it is likely begin with the following: http://.

This means that the website is talking to your browser using
the regular unsecured language. In other words, it is possible for someone to "eavesdrop" on your computer's conversation with the Website. If you fill out a form on the website, someone might see the information you send to that site.

This is why you never ever enter your credit card number in an
Http website! But if the web address begins with https://, that
means your computer is talking to the website in a
Secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.
You understand why this is so important, right?

If a website ever asks you to enter your Credit/Debit card
Information, you should automatically look to see if the web
address begins with https://.

If it doesn't, You should NEVER enter sensitive
Information....such as a credit/debit card number.

Natural Treatment of Diabetes

Controlling blood sugar (glucose) levels is the major goal of diabetes treatment, in order to prevent complications of the disease. Type 1 diabetes is managed with insulin as well as dietary changes and exercise. Type 2 diabetes may be managed with non-insulin medications, insulin, weight reduction, or dietary changes.

Fenugreek is an herb that can also be used to control diabetes, improve glucose tolerance and lower blood sugar levels due to its hypoglycaemic activity. It also stimulates the secretion of glucose-dependent insulin. Being high in fiber, it slows down the absorption of carbohydrates and sugars.

The results of a phase 3 clinical trial are being hailed as a "breakthrough" in the treatment of type 1 diabetes, after finding that transplantation of islet cells - clusters of cells in the pancreas that contain insulin-producing cells - prevented potentially life-threatening reductions in blood sugar among patients
diabetes

Pancreatic islet allo-transplantation is a procedure in which islets from the pancreas of a deceased organ donor are purified, processed, and transferred into another person. ... Once implanted, the beta cells in these islets begin to make and release insulin.

Eat around 5 – 6 jamuns in the morning to control your blood sugar levels. Alternatively, you can also add a spoonful of jamun seeds powder to a glass of warm water or milk and drink this daily for better control of diabetes.

Dawoodi Bohras in East Africa -Largest Religious Congregation (Ashara Mubaraka 1438) in over three decades

The city will be host to the largest religious congregation in over three decades

Ashara Mubaraka are the first 10 days of Moharram, that mark the martyrdom of Imam Husain AS, grandson of Prophet Mohammed SAW, that took place fourteen centuries ago. This is a very important religious and spiritual event in the Dawoodi Bohra Calendar. Each year, Dawoodi Bohras across the world observe Ashara Mubaraka by attending religious sermons, mourning the tragedy of Karbala and remembering the supreme sacrifice of Imam Husain AS.

Imam Husain AS refused to pledge allegiance to Yazeed, a tyrannical ruler who had transgressed all that Islam stood for and had established a reign of oppression after coming to power. In the battle of Karbala, Imam Husain AS along with seventy two of his followers including his family fought bravely on the scorching sands of Karbala and acquired martyrdom. The oppressors had totally denied them food and water for 3 consecutive days and even Imam Husain AS’s six month old son was martyred in the battlefield of Karbala. Imam Husain AS made this supreme sacrifice so that truth may prevail, tyranny be exterminated and the cherished human values of righteousness, piety and virtue may ever remain supreme and uncompromising.

Following the footsteps of his predecessors, each year, 53rd al-Dai al-Mutlaq, His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS,on receiving requests and invitations from his followers from different towns and cities, chooses a venue for delivering sermons during Ashara Mubaraka. In this Islamic year, 1438 H, the city of Dar es Salaam is blessed to have been chosen as the venue for Ashara Mubaraka, which will be from the 2nd to the 11th of October, 2016.

With the encouragement and blessings of His Holiness’ predecessors, a few Dawoodi Bohras made their homes in Tanzania more than two centuries ago. They came here principally to carry on business and trade. Finding the country a land of opportunities and experiencing the welcoming nature of the Tanzanians, they subsequently settled and made their homes in Tanzania. The Dawoodi Bohras of Tanzania and those of Dar es Salaam, in particular feel extremely privileged to host this event and expect to host about 30,000 guests from all over the world including East Africa.

During Ashara Mubaraka sermons, His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS will narrate the tragic events of Karbala and shower pearls of wisdom upon his followers, mentoring them on the noble teachings of Islam and the principles of humanity that Imam Husain AS sacrificed his life for. During these auspicious days, His Holiness will pray for the victims of the earthquake in Kagera region. His Holiness and his followers, the Dawoodi Bohra community, offer support and help to the efforts of the Government of Tanzania in rebuilding and providing relief to the victims of the earthquake in Kagera region. It is also the intention and desire of Anjuman-e-Saifee (Dar es Salaam) to launch a scheme for the support of those affected by the calamity.

Wherever he travels, His Holiness reminds his loyal followers of the noble teachings of Islam that “love for the land of abode is an essential part of the faith” and that “religion is not just prayer and fast but also to strive for betterment in this world and hereafter”. He guides them to strive for the betterment of their neighbors and for the common good of all the people of their country. His Holiness guides and directs his followers to invest in trade and industry in Tanzania and has dedicated resources to assist them to work hand in hand with other members of the society and for the country at large. Following the guidance and directions of His Holiness, the Dawoodi Bohras residing in Tanzania continue to contribute to the growth and development of their country.

The anticipated arrival of His Holiness to Dar es Salaam is on Tuesday, 27th September at 1300 Hrs.

Old Bombay (Mumbai) in 1920 - 1958 - 1967 Rare footage - Must Watch (Specially Bhendi Bazaar)

The city is a modern metropolis whose history is now fast fading into obscurity. Although many may not know the story about the birth of this beautiful city, Mumbaikars are passionate about their rich past and heritage.

Bombay

The name Mumbai is an eponym, derived from the name of a local Goddess called Mumbadevi. The history of this beautiful city dates back to the formation of the seven islands, namely Colaba, Mazagaon, Mahim, Parel, Bombay Island, Worli and Old Woman's Island. This group of islands infact formed a part of the kingdom of Ashoka, the famed Buddhist emperor of India. Following the death of the king, the ownership of these islands was passed on and they were later colonized by a number of different rulers. From the early 19th century, the city went under a massive reconstruction and also experienced a boost in the economy during the American Civil War. Apart from the reconstruction and the ownership, Mumbai (previously called Bombay) has also been witness to mass carnages during the Second World War and the Hindu-Muslim Riots. A series of refurbishments and battles later, the city was officially deemed as the capital of the state of Maharashtra. Scroll further for more on Mumbai and its heritage.

The Hornby Vellard was one of the first engineering projects to be undertaken in Mumbai. William Hornby, the governor of Bombay, initiated the project in the early 18th century despite harsh opposition from the East India Company. Thereon, the city began to take shape with several civil engineering projects underway, marking the birth of the Industrial Revolution. The seven islands were finally merged into one single mass in 1845, and in 1853, the country's first railway connection was accomplished between Bombay and Thane. The city was under the rule of the Company's hands until the revolt in 1857.

The opening up of the Suez Canal in 1869 also meant that connections between Bombay and the rest of the world were open, resulting in Bombay becoming one of the major ports in India. Just before gaining Independence, the city witnessed large scale Hindu-Muslim riots that resulted in colossal massacres and turmoil.

DO’s and DON’Ts List of Tanzania
There are cultural values which differ form one society to another and sometimes within the society itself. In order for a foreigner or visitor to live comfortably in the host society, he should be aware of these values. Listed below are some of the Tanzanian cultural values.

DO'S

1. Greeting people

Greeting is one of the most important cultural aspects in Tanzania the foreigner should be aware of, since it might enhance or distort good relationship. If someone greets you, he means he respects you and he is ready to begin conversation at any time. If you need any help from someone, it is very important to greet him first or else you won't get help. If you don't greet your neighbors, it means you are not in good terms with them and if you are in a problem they won't help you.

2. Respecting elders

Tanzanians are very much age conscious. They try to respect their elders as much as they can. This is due to the fact that,, elders are considered to be wise and having a lot of knowledge. Also Tanzanians believe that elders have the power to curse any young person who shows misbehavior to them. For that reason Tanzanians try hard not to annoy the elders in anyway. They tend to give them first priorities in various situations i.e. giving them their seats in public transport, greet them, remove hat when talking to them, etc.

3. Shopping

DO bargain at the market and at the shop before paying for an item, you will have fun doing it. But modern shops have fixed prices.

BE tolerant when people come late to the meetings, it is not only because they have a lot of work but also the different concept they have on time and indicators of time they use.

DON'TS

1. Smelling food

Tanzanians value and respect those who cook food. And to the Tanzanian culture, women /wives cook food. Smelling food indicates that the food is bad and so the cook is. Therefore it is considered rude to sniff food. Sniffing anything implies that it is rotten or it smells bad. Most of the foreigners smell various things at the market when buying them. This is not common in our culture. In case you want to know if a fruit is ripe or not, you have to press on the fruit and if it is easily pressed in, then it is ripe and vice versa.

2. Index finger

In Tanzania people value and respect each other. The index finger is used to call dogs as dogs are not valued and from the Islamic religion, dogs are not allowed to get into a mosque because they are dirty. For that matter, calling a person using the index finger, is like calling him a dog. Also calling a person using the index finger shows arrogance or superior attitude. This is mainly because the colonialists used to call the natives by using the index finger. Not to be considered having the colonial mentality which people hate, better not use the index finger when calling people in Tanzania. Instead use the palm of your hand or if the one you want to call is far and cannot see you, use your hand to call him/her.

3. Public affection

Love is very much valued, respected as it is within love the African families have been brought up. And as love is related to sex, it is considered a private and very secret issue and it is not something to be displayed in public. Kissing and hugging in public is not common. However holding hands between two people of the same sex is considered proper as it signifies close relationship.

the country over the last 48 hours. The country has already

Sherullah il Moazzam - Month of Ibadat and Fasting

The month of Ramadan is a period of fasting, sacrifice, giving, piousness and self-training with the hope that these qualities will extend beyond this month and stay with us throughout the year. Indeed, the essence of fasting in Ramadan is spiritual. Nevertheless, this holy month also offers a number of benefits for both the mind and body.

FASTING lowered bad “LDL” cholesterol levels by 8 percent, triglyceride by 30 percent, and increased good “HDL” levels by 14.3 percent thereby protecting your heart from cardiovascular disease.

Calorie consumption is overall decreased in Ramadan.

Extremes in the history of Cricket

It is one of the healthiest of sports. All the parts and muscles of the body are fully moved

and exercised while playing cricket. It teaches the players to cultivate the virtue of

cooperation, patience and perseverance and while making the players sharp and prompt. It

helps to give them a healthy recreation.

Cricket is a thrill both to play the game and to watch it and its importance is no less than

any sporting event. The game also encourages team spirit, fosters discipline, helps build up

character and brings out the quality of leadership.

Cricket

It fosters team-spirit. The game is played between two teams and not between two

individuals. The game can be won only if all the members of the team put all their efforts in

 one direction.
